January is already almost behind us but we thought it was a good time to take a look back at our fantastic 2019 as well as a look ahead to 2020.

2019 was a special year for Components Company Inc. We celebrated our 85th anniversary. Our company has been in business since 1934. We didn’t let it go unnoticed. We had a special cake made for the occasion for our employees. And a banner was hung in our manufacturing space.

Also in 2019, we added new management positions in our warehouse and assembly areas. These positions were added to better benefit our customers with the products and services that we offer.

Finally, we are happy to announce that 2019 was an excellent sales year for Components Company. In fact, it was the second best year for sales that we have ever had!

As successful as 2019 was, we are looking forward to an even better 2020!

In preparation, on December 23 of last year, we flipped the switch to go live on our enterprise resource planning (or ERP) system. So far, it is working well and it is expected to improve our efficiency this year.

We made two other improvements as we headed into this year that we believe will help us be successful in 2020.

First, we purchased a new piece of equipment to coil heavier gauge wire rope assemblies. So far, this is helping us to grow this service phenomenally. It also give us the ability to better handle heavy duty cable assemblies.

Second, we have made a bigger investment in automation for more of our processes. We will soon be purchasing additional equipment to for further automation. As an example, take a look at a video of our automated boxing machine.
